I have heard the expression that you look as good as you feel. I think the opposite is true. I think you feel as good as you look. Looking good and having clothing that fits you can make you feel wonderful and energized. This is something I have thought about for a while when it comes to clothing. I look around and people are all sizes and shapes, but sometimes the clothing in stores doesn’t reflect that. One thing I do know is that a new outfit or accessory can make you feel good about how you look. This is what we all want…to feel comfortable in our own skin and to feel good about how we look, regardless of size. So when I chose the tag line for my boutique “something for everyone”, I chose it because I really want to have a place where everyone can find something that looks good on them and makes them feel great.
I have always loved picking out my outfit and helping others choose outfits, especially for special occasions. Sometimes putting my outfit together is the best part of my day! Just kidding, kinda. I do know that when I have something new to wear that looks good, my day is better. Trendy is a word that gets thrown around a lot and sometimes gets a bad name, but I always think trendy means you are keeping current with your look and changing with the times. I take it as a compliment.
A boutique, historically for me, hasn’t been much fun to shop at. It usually only carries sizes that I can’t fit into and I leave feeling worse than when I went in. That is the main reason I have started All Chic Boutique, so that everyone can feel good when they make a purchase. STYLE TIP: You may think you are not a pattern or print person…but give it a try! A little leopard or chevron can really spice up an outfit! You could always start with earrings or a pattern just on the sleeves and see how you feel! You may surprise yourself!
